I used to like Wikiwand a lot. I found the idea of a web page transformer a great idea for wikipedia. Wikipedia’s layout is formulaic and back then, it was crunchy enough to warrant a redesign.
But now, Wikiwand is trash. They added ads which is lame, given that its functionally a static transofmration that could be done with the addition of a css override and an extra static javascript bundle.
It recently started to autohide the summary section at the top and now is filled with AI bloatware.
Sad to see what its become. Welp, it was good while it lasted.
